People have started getting turned away as an answer from their RSVP. You should still come out anyways!
From the event's organizers:
"Our approach will be "no one gets turned away unless the fire Marshall arrives and says so"
And if people can't get in, we'll have discussions outside as a display of how much people of Ottawa-Centre want to talk about climate change, and request ANOTHER consultation to be organized!
This Thursday, April 28th, Environment and Climate Change Minister Catherine McKenna is hosting a public consultation for her Ottawa Centre Constituency about the government's new climate action plan.
Ecology Ottawa supporters from Ottawa Centre are coming out to participate in this consultation to make sure that the Energy East pipeline is part of this discussion.
Make sure you RSVP to Catherine McKenna's event first by e-mailing her office at [email protected].
And RSVP here to let us know if you're coming out so we get a sense of how many Ecology Ottawa supporters are coming out!
We are coming together, along with 350 Ottawa and the Council of Canadians one hour before the consultation process at the Church of the Blessed Sacrament, 194 4th Avenue, one hour before the consultation event, at 6PM, to quickly discuss talking points and to get ready and comfortable to discuss about climate issues we care about and Energy East!
See you there Thursday evening!
