May 23 Climate Change Research Meeting

Let's talk about what research needs to be done to tell people how climate change is already causing changes in Ottawa.

For example the Rideau Canal skating season was 70 days long during it's first decade in the 1970s, but now averages closer to 55 days long. But no one has researched how many days skating is cancelled mid-season by more frequent warm weather.

What other changes are we experiencing in Ottawa, how can we collect the data, and what stories will grab people's attention?

Come and plan with me how we can research and write useful information to help Ottawans understand the changes global warming has already imposed on our city and region.
